About Launchscene
Launchscene is a library of tech product launch videos, each broken down scene by scene: what every scene does in the story, how long it lasts, the techniques and camera moves it uses, and the text on screen. 242 launches from 77 brands so far, 7,924 scenes.
Who makes it
Launchscene is built in Paris by Yannis Coulibaly, and published by YC Strategic Ventures. It is made for the people who prepare a launch: founders, product marketers, video producers and motion designers, and the AI agents they work with.
How the videos are collected and analyzed
New launches are collected from the brands’ own channels, and anyone can submit a video. Measured on the 242 launch videos published in the Launchscene library (77 brands, released between 2016 and 2026). Each video is cut into scenes by cut detection, then an AI model annotates each scene’s role and techniques; 83 of the 242 videos have been checked by a person so far, the others are marked “AI-annotated” on their page. Cuts per minute come from detected cuts, voiceover and tempo from the audio analysis. Medians and quartiles describe this curated library of tech launches, not every video ever made: they are reference points, not a quality standard.
The aggregate numbers are on Benchmarks; the vocabulary is defined on scene roles and techniques.
How to use it
